Are Super Rich really Misanthropic, and any humaninatiran efforts is strictly publicity for their companies?

Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are two examples of the super rich ACTUALLY giving back to society, and not just for the sake of their companies. Gates left his company to pursue his foundation, and most of Buffet's money gets transferred once he's dead (ie, nothing in it for him)
