How will my pay be affected by all the public holidays at the end of the month? Are the banks closed?

You need to have a word with your employer, sometimes they make arrangements taking bank holidays etc into account, if they haven't but if you make them aware that money is really tight and that it might cause problems for you I'm sure they will help you out.
